Nia was born out of the aerobics craze of the 80’s. In the USA in 1983, Debbie and Carlos Rosas took off their shoes and eliminated the repetitive jogging up and down that embodied traditional aerobic exercise, and created barefoot “fusion fitness”. Revolutionizing the world of fitness and wellbeing, Nia today is taught to over 125,000 students by more than 2,500 Certified Teachers in more than 45 countries.
