"An emotional fitness odyssey, Nia is just plain exhilarating.”
—The New York Times

Nia is a a sensory-based movement practice that draws from martial arts, dance arts and healing arts. It empowers people of all shapes and sizes by connecting the body, mind, emotions and spirit through great music, creative movement and self-expression. Each participant is invited to move at his or her own level of intensity. Nia delivers cardiovascular, muscular and whole-body conditioning. Step into your own joyful journey with Nia, and positively shape the way you feel, look, think and live.

Nia was born out of the aerobics craze of the 80’s. In the USA in 1983, Debbie and Carlos Rosas took off their shoes and eliminated the repetitive jogging up and down that embodied traditional aerobic exercise, and created barefoot “fusion fitness”. Revolutionizing the world of fitness and wellbeing, Nia today is taught to over 125,000 students by more than 2,500 Certified Teachers in more than 45 countries.  Nia bursts boundaries of age, gender and fitness levels, delivering a fun, effective and life changing practice for all walks of life.  Step into your own joyful journey with Nia, and positively shape the way you feel, look, think and live!
